Toeti Heraty Fellowship 2027: Master’s Scholarship in Museum Studies

Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, in collaboration with the Toeti Heraty Roosseno Foundation (YTHR) and Musea Indonesia Education & Creative Development, is opening applications for the Toeti Heraty Fellowship. This program aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals in the fields of museums and culture, in line with the vision of Prof. Dr. Toeti Heraty Noerhadi Roosseno.

Scholarship Coverage

  • Financial assistance in the form of Single Tuition Fee (UKT) per semester.
  • Funding is provided for the duration of Semester 2 and Semester 3.
  • A special quota is available for two (2) Master’s students in Anthropology.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Active Master’s (S2) students in Semester 2 of the Anthropology Program at Universitas Indonesia.
  • Not currently receiving a scholarship from any other institution or organization.
  • Committed to completing their studies on time in accordance with the scholarship period.
  • Willing to organize a seminar presenting their thesis research results after graduating as a Master of Anthropology.

Required Documents

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV), copy of ID card, and Tax Identification Number (NPWP) if available.
  • Copy of active student ID card.
  • Semester 1 academic transcript.
  • Two letters of recommendation: one from the Head of Department and one from a community/organization previously involved in.
  • One sample of a published writing on a cultural topic.
  • An essay (1000–2000 words) in the form of a review on a museum management theme with potential to be developed into a thesis.

Selection Process

  • Stage I (Document Screening): Evaluation conducted by a team involving the Head of the Department of Anthropology, Universitas Indonesia.
  • Stage II (Academic Interview): Interview session with lecturers from the Department of Anthropology, Universitas Indonesia, and a panel of experts.
