Dr. Dian Sulistiawati is the Head of the UI Anthropology Graduate Program for the 2024–2028 period and a lecturer specializing in medical anthropology. Her research examines the links between diet, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, maternal and child health, and health systems. She studies issues of foodborne diseases, malnutrition, chronic illness care, acculturative stress, adaptation strategies, and reproductive health. Additionally, she focuses on matters of body image, gender, and health, as well as waste management and toxicity issues. By combining perspectives from health anthropology, nutrition, and gender, Dian highlights how daily practices, food culture, and therapeutic choices shape public health experiences.
