Mira Indiwara Pakan Rahardjo has been a lecturer in the UI Anthropology Department since 2006, with extensive experience in socio-cultural research in Indonesia. Her research focuses on world cultural heritage issues in Toraja, social hierarchy and cultural transformation in Tana Toraja, and spatial planning in North Maluku. Her areas of interest include anthropology of religion, indigeneity, kinship, socio-cultural transformation, anthropology of education, environmental issues, and youth culture. Her research highlights the interconnectedness between local dynamics and national as well as global contexts, particularly in preserving cultural identity and negotiating social change. Additionally, she is actively involved in collaborative projects with both governmental and international institutions in cultural planning and policy evaluation.
