OUR VISION
Department of Anthropology has a vision to become a leading academic institution that is based on teaching, research, publications and community engagements, in order to enable the graduates to develop an understanding, practice and appreciation towards the diversity of socio-cultural lives that is dynamic in the local, national and global contexts.
OUR MISSIONS
- To perform a higher education learning program that upholds the principles of transparency, integrity, and collaboration.
- To develop a higher education curriculum that rests upon research and practices on the variety and dynamics of socio-cultural lives in the local, national, and global contexts.
- To carry out and expand a credible research, publications and community engagements that contribute to the development of science and quality of socio-cultural lives.
- To carry out a transparent, accountable, non-discriminatory and integrative organizational management system.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To produce critical graduates that value and sensitive to diversity and dynamic socio-cultural lives in the local, national and global contexts.

Jurnal Antropologi Indonesia
Antropologi Indonesia was published to develop and enrich scientific discussion for scholars who put interest on socio-cultural issues in Indonesia.
These journals apply peer-reviewed process in selecting the high-quality article. Editors welcome theoretical or research-based article submission. Author’s argument doesn’t need to be in line with editors. the criteria of the submitted article covers the following types of article: first, the article presents the results of an ethnographic/qualitative research on certain topic and is related to ethnic/social groups in Indonesia; second, the article is an elaborated discussion of applied and collaborative research with strong engagement between the author and the collaborator’s subject in implementing intervention program or any other development initiative that put emphasizes on social, political, and cultural issues; Third, a theoretical writing that elaborates social and cultural theory linked with the theoretical discourse of anthropology, especially in Indonesia anthropology; last, the article is a critical review of anthropological reference and other ethnography books that must be published at least in the last 3 years.
