Hé-MAn UI

Hé-MAn UI 2025 is the University of Indonesia Anthropology student organization focused on capacity building, collaboration, and fostering an organizational culture that balances professionalism with camaraderie. Through strategies emphasizing responsive, innovative, and appreciative interactions, Hé-MAn UI 2025 strives to provide a platform for UI Social Anthropology students by creating an adaptive, collaborative, and responsive environment for its members to develop personally and academically, as well as to strengthen internal and external relations.

Divisions/Bureaus and Work Programs

Business Development Bureau

The Business Development Bureau plays a key role in ensuring the financial stability of Hé-MAn UI 2025. This bureau aims to provide the necessary funds to support the smooth execution of every work program financially and focuses on generating profit to maintain the financial stability of Hé-MAn UI 2025.

  • Hé-MAn Starterpack: Sale of mandatory merchandise for all functionaries as a representation of the Hé-MAn UI 2025 board’s identity.
  • Anthropology Merch: Selling merchandise for UI Anthropology students, FISIP UI students, and other affiliates to represent the identity of UI Anthropology 2025.
  • Anthropology Bazaar: A five-day bazaar held within the FISIP UI environment, this bazaar is a business initiative run by UI Social Anthropology students.

Human Resources Development Bureau

The Human Resources Development (HRD) Bureau serves as the main engine driving Hé-MAn UI’s internal conditions, ensuring that every functionary not only develops their capacity but also feels valued and connected within a strong collective bond.

  • Work Meeting: This work program aims to align the vision, mission, and values of Hé-MAn UI 2025 and create a supportive environment for Hé-MAn UI 2025 as an initial form of appreciation for functionaries.
  • Hé-MAn Fun Activities (KESURUPAN): A space for Hé-MAn UI 2025 functionaries to engage in team-building activities without other objectives, fulfilling one of the Hé-MAn UI 2025 HRD Bureau’s missions: maintaining a healthy internal climate for Hé-MAn UI 2025.
  • Hé-MAn Skill-Up (SILUMAN): Hé-MAn UI 2025 functionaries will attend skill-upgrading classes focusing on hard skills needed for organizational life in the first term and soft skills expected to assist them in life after the Hé-MAn UI 2025 board period in the second term.
  • Hé-MAn General Meeting (PASARAN): All functionaries gather to foster better coordination regarding the 3Ps (plan, progress, problem) of their past and upcoming work programs.
  • Hé-MAn in Records (MANTAN): An anonymous evaluation and appreciation platform through e-books from the bureau and related bureaus/divisions.
  • Hé-MAn Holiday (HALU): A work program that concludes the Hé-MAn UI 2025 board’s term with a recreational trip as a final form of entertainment.
  • #BestieHé-MAn (BESAN): A supporting system implemented through birthday cards and appreciation cards for mid-term and final exams in the form of e-cards for Hé-MAn UI 2025 board members.

Student Welfare Advocacy Division

The Student Welfare Advocacy (Adkesma) Division is Hé-MAn UI’s frontline in ensuring that every Anthropology student experiences their studies in a safe, supportive, and violence-free environment. We focus not only on bureaucracy but also on mental health and serious protection against sexual violence.

  • AntHelp (Personal Support Service): Through the Official LINE Account, AntHelp serves as a 24/7 support channel that seriously maintains privacy and provides targeted assistance. Key Features: 1. Anthropology Q&A: Quick solutions for academic, administrative, and financial questions. 2. Anthropology Confide: A safe and non-judgmental space to express concerns and find a listener. 3. Important Anthropology: Emergency Support and Rapid Response for Mental Health and Sexual Violence cases.
  • Sexual Violence Socialization and Reporting: A Safe Environment is an Absolute Priority. We are serious about educating all community members through comprehensive socialization on prevention, handling, and the importance of consent. Furthermore, we provide an effective, safe, confidential, and trustworthy reporting channel for victims of sexual violence, ensuring every case is handled with high confidentiality and integrity.
  • InfoAdkes & Info BEAM: InfoAdkes provides important updates on administration and academics, while Info Scholarships and Internships (BEAM) offers access to the best self-development opportunities and financial support from various sources.
  • Anthropology in Mourning: Anthropology in Mourning provides condolence broadcasts and facilitates donations for Social Anthropology students who have lost family or close relatives through a Line Group Chat.

Public Relations Division

Public Relations acts as the communication conductor, tasked with maintaining harmonious internal and external relations, while also building and strengthening Hé-MAn UI’s positive image as a credible source of information through the Relations Division and Media Division.

  • New Student Welcoming (WELMAB): A welcoming and orientation event for new Anthropology 2025 students, aiming to introduce the study program, campus environment, and foster a sense of community through informative and enjoyable activities.
  • Local Graduation (Wislok): An intimate celebration and appreciation event for Social Anthropology FISIP UI graduates who have completed their studies, symbolizing their success before they embark on their next journey.
  • Comparative Study & Company Visit: A collaborative program consisting of Comparative Study to other university Anthropology student associations to share experiences, and Company Visits to companies/organizations to introduce Hé-MAn UI’s internal members to the professional world.
  • Anthropology Appreciation Night (MANTAP): The annual pinnacle appreciation event to honor the achievements of UI Social Anthropology students over the past year.
  • Hé-MAn UI Profile: An Instagram publication introducing the organizational structure (faces, names, positions) and the comprehensive range of Hé-MAn UI 2025 work programs to stakeholders.
  • Commemoration of Major Days: Social media publications to commemorate and provide brief yet clear information regarding national and international major days.
  • Proud Anthropology: A form of appreciation via Hé-MAn UI’s Instagram to celebrate and publicize achievements by all Anthropology FISIP UI students.

Community Service Division

The Hé-MAn UI 2025 Community Service Division is a division that accommodates the interests of active UI Social Anthropology students in social and environmental issues both within and outside the campus environment.

  • An-tour-lap: Anthropology Field Trip is an exciting and meaningful activity organized by Heman UI for Anthropology students. In this activity, students don’t just learn from books or classroom lectures, but directly engage with communities. They interact directly with various communities, listen to stories, observe customs, and understand people’s lives in the field. Through this experience, students can see the real world firsthand, understand human culture and behavior directly, and develop solutions relevant to community conditions. So, Anthropology Field Trip is a fun and beneficial way to learn about humans and culture directly from the source, not just from classroom theory.
  • KEMAS: Community Service Content is a work program initiated by the Hé-MAn UI 2025 Community Service Division, focusing on disseminating information through Hé-MAn UI’s Instagram as a form of support for social and environmental issues relevant to daily life.

Academic Division

The Academic Division serves as a facilitator in bridging student challenges related to academic skills and understanding anthropological knowledge in lectures.

  • Belbarant: A work program aimed at helping Anthropology students understand and delve deeper into course material, especially those deemed difficult and to be tested during Mid-Term Exams (UTS) and Final Exams (UAS).
  • Know Anthropology (TAHAN!): A work program aimed at introducing anthropology to students and the wider public through social media platforms.
  • Anthropology For Competition (AFC): This work program aims to encourage, invite, and assist UI Anthropology students in participating in various academic competitions, especially LIMAS (Social Student Scientific Competition) FISIP UI 2025.
  • Anthropology Library: A work program that serves as a platform for UI Social Anthropology students to find academic reading resources. The Academic Division provides access to various lecture materials that can help students understand and deepen their knowledge of anthropology.

Arts Division

The Arts Division serves as a platform for UI Social Anthropology students to explore and celebrate art in all its forms. Art is not only a means of expression or creativity but also a space for processing, connecting, and finding meaning.

  • Anthropology OTW GELMAB (AOG): AOG is a series of work programs organized by the Arts Division to assist the Social Anthropology GELMAB contingent in preparing for the GELMAB event.
  • Anthropology Festival (ANFEST): The Anthropology Festival is an annual event specifically designed to showcase the talents and creativity of Anthropology students at UI. Imagine a colorful stage where various art and cultural performances are presented live by the students themselves. The theme revolves around ethnography, featuring engaging performances such as traditional dances, music, drama, and visual arts with deep meaning. More than just an art show, this event also serves as a collaborative platform that strengthens relationships between students, art communities, and the surrounding society. Through the Anthropology Festival, students not only express their talents but also deepen their understanding of Indonesia’s rich culture. Thus, this event is a blend of art, culture, and togetherness that inspires and leaves a lasting impression on all participants.
  • Arts Extracurricular: An Arts Division work program consisting of workshops held periodically over two sessions with various art activities in each meeting.

Sports Division

The Hé-MAn UI Sports Division is a platform for UI Social Anthropology students to channel their interests and talents, as well as build camaraderie through various inclusive and enjoyable sports activities.

  • WAR (Inter-Batch Competition): Features online and offline sports competitions among UI Social Anthropology students to hone skills, assess potential, and provide competitive experience before participating in OLIMFIS.
  • TROPIKA (Anthropology Family Sports Gathering): An activity aimed at strengthening camaraderie, kinship, and care among anthropology affiliates through sports. TROPIKA presents a variety of activities ranging from physical sports, e-sports, to fun games designed to create an exciting, healthy, and friendly atmosphere.
  • JerseyAnt (Anthropology Jersey): A program for the production and distribution of distinctive UI Social Anthropology jerseys as a symbol of solidarity and identity in various sports and community activities.
  • AFRO (Anthropology for OLIMFIS): AFRO is a Sports Division program to support the UI Social Anthropology contingent in OLIMFIS 2025. Through Regular Anthropology Training (LarutAnt) and SupporterAnt, this program serves as a platform for coaching, mental strengthening, and fostering camaraderie among students after the skill assessment in the 2025 Inter-Batch Competition (WAR).

LESEHAN

LESEHAN (Learning and Sharing Anthropology) is a non-academic orientation activity for UI Social Anthropology designed as a warm, inclusive, and participatory space. This activity also helps new students adapt to campus life, build cross-batch relationships, and broaden their insights into self-development and career opportunities as anthropologists.

Undergraduate Program

Master’s Program

Deepen theory and methodology to analyze anthropological issues and design research solutions for various social and cultural dynamics.
