Irfan Nugraha is a lecturer at the UI Department of Anthropology and a doctoral candidate at SOAS University of London. He is active in research, teaching, and community service, with experience collaborating with both government and international institutions. His dissertation highlights the anthropology of energy, infrastructure, and extractivism within the context of renewable energy. Additionally, he researches issues of leisure and tourism, violence, techno-biopolitics, and alternative futures. As an ethnographer, he is extensively involved in social safeguard analysis for indigenous communities and participates in cultural collaboration and innovation programs. His research demonstrates a concern for the impact of development and technology on local communities, blending critical analysis with field experience.
