Sri Paramita Budhi Utami, M.A. graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Anthropology, FISIP UI, in 1997. She subsequently earned a Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Actions from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Université de Genève (University of Geneva/UNIGE), Switzerland, in 2005–2006. Since graduating in 1997, she has worked directly with international organizations specializing in humanitarian action and nature conservation. Upon returning to Indonesia in 2008, she began working as a freelance researcher conducting baseline studies, monitoring, and evaluation (M) for community empowerment activities carried out by foreign non-governmental organizations operating in Indonesia. In addition, she serves as an adjunct lecturer at FISIP UI, FEB UI, and the UI Vocational Tourism Study Program. In 2009, she began assisting in the management of the Center for Anthropological Studies until 2018, while also serving as a senior researcher at the institution and a senior researcher at LabSosio. Since 2018, she has served as the Vice Head of the Institute for Social and Political Research and Development (LPPSP) – FISIP UI. Her areas of expertise include Environmental Anthropology, Marine Anthropology, Gender, and Pluralism.
