Profile and Research Interests

Indraini Hapsari, more familiarly known as Sari, is an anthropologist who completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Department of Anthropology, University of Indonesia. Her research interests stem from everyday practices and a passion for cooking, encompassing both main dishes and snacks, which she then developed into an anthropological study of the relationship between humans and food. Through the lens of food anthropology, Sari focuses on how food connects with social, cultural, economic aspects, and daily life experiences, as well as how cooking and consumption practices become crucial spaces for understanding the dynamics of human life.
