“A Day at the Museum” is an immersive initiative by the Traditions and Indigeneity Cluster of the Social Anthropology Program at FISIP UI. Designed as a practice-based learning space, the program explores the complexities of museum governance, collection management, and the evolving dynamics of cultural heritage in a contemporary world.

Developed through strategic partnerships with institutions such as the Textile Museum, Wayang Museum, and the National Museum of Indonesia, this program fosters a synergy between academic reflection and professional practice. By integrating material culture studies with curatorial perspectives and collection biographies, the initiative bridges anthropological theory with the real-world stewardship of Indonesia’s cultural landscapes.
